Afrovibes Festival presents contemporary dance, theatre and music by artists from Africa and the African diaspora in the Netherlands. From an African perspective, they give artistic expression to urgent questions that resonate worldwide: about identity, belonging, history and the future. Stories and perspectives that often remain underrepresented are brought to the stage through distinctive and thought-provoking performances.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.23″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.8″ _module_preset=”default” text_text_color=”#FFFFFF” custom_padding=”42px|30px||30px|false|true” global_colors_info=”{}”]

The 23rd edition of Afrovibes Festival starts on 1 October. The theme of Afrovibes 2026 is Soil | Soul. In a world where land is increasingly at the centre of conflict and power, African artists explore the meaning of land, ancestry and spiritual connectedness. In many African worldviews, land is more than territory: it is a source of memory, ancestors, rituals and identity. What does it mean to be connected to the ground you live on? And what happens when you are separated from your origins?
